Dave James
How to be a Happy Human by Dave James.
Just Added, Bonus CPD in Swoop Learning.
“Hi, I’m Dave.
Some recently described me as an “irritatingly good speaker”.
To be honest, I’m having that.
I’m also a coach and a stand up comedian.
Before all that happened however, I worked in healthcare as both an A&E nurse and a podiatrist.
Over the best part of 25 years I have spent time in the NHS, education, the charity sector and started my own private podiatry practice from scratch, selling it eight years later.
As coach I’ve helped people with business, marketing, speaking and life however all my work now really centres around three main things:
People being themselves.
People being confident.
People being present.
And that is all done through the medium or speaking, coaching and comedy (not dance).
If you want to have a chat you can find me on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/iamdavejames/) or via my website (www.davethecoach.co.uk).”
Jill Woods
I started my first business aged 7 selling old books & toys to passing strangers from a table at the end of my parent’s driveway in rural West Yorkshire.
Not a resounding success!
Since then, I have sharpened my marketing, sales, and people skills working as a ski instructor, marketing manager, podiatrist, University lecturer, and training manager. My dream though was always to run my own business, but it took a while to find the right one. I have created 5 businesses including a podiatry practice, holiday letting business, training consultancy, online support community, and finally settled on Practice Momentum, a marketing company I love. With a team of 8 specialists, we focus on providing remote marketing solutions for the owners of small struggling healthcare practices around the world. Working remotely means we can find the best talent to support our clients and members, which fits brilliantly with my life as a nomadic military wife.
I am an ex corporate marketer & non-practicing podiatrist who now specialises in health practice marketing solutions.
I have worked in marketing and public relations in many different roles since 1988. In that time, I have gained masses of experience in corporate, higher education, healthcare, online and small local business marketing. Alongside that I qualified and worked as an educator and trainer, as well as running my own podiatry practice.
Now as a military wife and with the need to be geographically mobile, I set up Practice Momentum in 2010. A virtual business which combines all my expertise, providing outstanding mentoring, training and done for you marketing services for the owners of small local healthcare practices.
That’s the dull bit.
The exciting part is that I and my team of 8 specialists, are now on a mission to use Practice Momentum and the services we deliver to change lives. The lives of thousands of practice owners, their team members, and communities, as well as hundreds of thousands of patients around the world.
We do that by providing remote marketing solutions either through training and coaching or done for you services. Working remotely means we can find the best talent to support our clients which fits brilliantly with my other life as a nomadic military wife.
Join me on that journey.

Brenda Rogers
Director Swoop Learning
Podiatrist & Owner Zest Podiatry
As a podiatrist and clinic owner, I need to ensure that my clinical practice and my own staff training is as fresh and up to date as possible.
I fully embrace the online learning opportunities that have sprung since Covid. I have particularly enjoyed the NK Active Lunch Club model which offers online MSK CPD with access to the other learners in a safe non judgmental community.
For me there was a gap for all of the non MSK clinical work that we do day to day. I want all my learning in one place, in a similar format and accessible to when I (or my team) want it.
Victoria North
Director Swoop Learning
Podiatrist & Owner Zest Podiatry
I have enjoyed linking learners to speakers with a range of subjects as part of my role with the Oxford branch of the Royal college of Podiatry. Seeing people enjoy their learning and grow as clinicians is fantastic.
I want to take this a step further and create an environment for learning, where you can find interesting, up to date knowledge, whenever and wherever suits you and with like minded people.
